Hello, I was wondering if 99.9% pure Isopropyl Alcohol is safe for cleaning Nikon lenses. I would use a microfiber cloth and put a few drops on the cloth and use the circular motion reccomended by many people. I am just wondering if that type of Alcohol is safe. Thanks
Most of the time you should be able to use nothing more than a large-bulb blower and a Nikon Lens Pen. They really work great. But, if you feel you need a wet -clean, this is probably the best ting around:
If you are a compulsive cleaner who cleans lenses frequently, you might be better off with a product marketed specifically for lens cleaning. I've used it before; it evaporates very quickly, and has not harmed my lenses, but then I rarely wet-clean a lens more than once a year. The commercial product 'Panchro Lens Cleaner', which obviously from the smell contains IPA, cleans grease better than the 99.9% IPA I get from the electronics store.---KB-
99.9% Isopropyl Alcohol will not damage the lens, glass or coatings. 99% pure alcohol evaporates quickly which is why it's superior to watered down solutions. Just use a blower bulb/brush to remove any dust/grit first, wipe on an even coating isopropyl alcohol and dry with a soft CLEAN cloth. You may have to rub vigorously to remove any remaining film. This is what most repair shops use.
What!? Of the dishwashing soaps out there, Dawn is probably the best for cleaning dishes. But, it has fragrance in it. Fragrance is generally associated with oil of some kind. I would think that using any kind of dishwashing soap on your lenses would result in it leaving some sort of residue on the lens. For that matter, Isopropyl Alcohol could have some oil in it if you don't use the kind that is 99.9%. Why fool with these home remidies? Would you seriously use Dawn on a $1,200 lens (or, on any lens)?
Creatine monohydrate crystallizes from water as monoclinic prisms that hold one molecule of water of crystallization per molecule of creatine [187]. Subsequent drying of creatine monohydrate at about 100C removes the water of crystallization yielding anhydrous creatine (100% creatine) [187]. Creatine is considered a weak base (pKb 11.02 at 25C) that can only form salts with strong acids (i.e., pKa

[1] When a sound wave is transferred from a low-impedance medium (eg, air) to one of high impedance (eg, water), a considerable amount of its energy is reflected and fails to enter the liquid. If no middle ear were present, only 0.1% of the acoustic wave energy traveling through air would enter the fluid of the cochlea and 99.9% would be reflected. [2]
Went to see doctor, but could only see his PA. She dismissed me as nothing serious, took xrays(I insisted) & wrote a rx for a z-pak(I insisted). It was a infuriating visit & I came away feeling like I was a waste of her time.

Let's let's say, did you go to Duke? No. Okay. The way he said that I'm gonna ask next if he went to North Carolina. Yes. You did go to North Carolina. Okay. Great. Um, by the way, for those of you who are joining at home, this is my son. I'm trying to guess in all American from North Carolina E. I don't I don't know anything. Except that they're in all American from North Carolina. So where are you leaving? Because he might be okay. He's gone. I'm sorry. Did you play for North Carolina in the last 10 years? No. No. Okay, that takes out 2010 to 2020. Did you play for North Carolina in the last 20 years? No. Oh, boy. Okay, so it's a good thing I'm old. Older than Candace. Um, all right. Did you play for North Carolina in the last 30 years? No. Okay, so we've got that from 1990 until 2020. Did you play for North Carolina in the last 40 years? No. Which is doing decades. So did you play sometime between 1970 and 1980 for the University of North Carolina? Yeah. Really? Thank God. Okay, listen, I gotta tell you, I was a little first, by the way, that laugh e made it. Who? This is, um that like that. That was a great laugh. You're in all Americans, so I know who in the 19 seventies. Okay, They didn't. They did not win a national championship in the 19 seventies and 1977 They went to the national championship against Marquette. Were you in that game Ask, unfortunately. Oh, unfortunately. Okay. Wow. OK, so this is the 1977 player. Now, I'm trying to go through some of the old stars that you won't see. There's Walter Davis. There was Al Would who I think graduated in 1981 because he had this dynamite game in 1981 in the national championship against Indiana. That would mean that he wasn't in that game. Now I'm dancing around this because there's one guy who was ifit's, um PC. He like? Okay, I'm gonna teach. I'm gonna give my son a little bit of a lesson before I guess it's next person. Okay, I don't want to get it too early, but back then, they have shot clock, okay? And still, deans, we have had this. I he a that he was going to do this and it drove the other coaches absolutely insane, like, literally drove them insane. But it only worked with, like, the right person running the offense because there's one guy who ran the four corners better than anyone has or ever. Will he do? He ran it so well that they basically started a shot clock a few years later. His name was Phil Ford. So I'm gonna guess really quickly if this is Phil Ford and we're gonna celebrate if it is, and if it's not, we're gonna be OK. Also, Okay. Is this Phil forward? Yes, it is. Oh, my gosh. We're in the presence of greatness. Uh, better call it like you could turn your You could turn your camera on so my son can see you. Absolutely. A big basketball fan for you. A All right. Oh, my God. So obviously you know, anytime anyone goes in that they have to explain you in the Four Corners offense to someone who was born in 2009. So I love going down memory lane for that. Thank you for joining us. Where you joining us from And what have you been up to? The last you're in Raleigh. Okay. How has this? How has this year been for you? It's been strange, man. From march, the August I didn't do anything but sit right where you see me right now. So yeah, I'm starting to get out a little more, but still being really careful. Yeah. No, I'm with you. I have a little bit of asthma, and so I gotta be really careful. And I'm very grateful for Zoom. I'm sure everybody else's too. I didn't realize how e it is. It's nice. It's a stream yard. Candace sent me something. I just touched it and I was on with E A s. So I always start fill with my personal memories of the person who I just guessed. And so because it's so subjective. Right, everyone. Scott memories. I was born in 1974. So, you know, I was three when you graduated. I didn't have a lot of live memories of you, but my father used to show film like old VHS tapes of you. He was a huge Carolina fan. He went to school there. So my my first memory of you was a fantastic haircut on band. And you always seem to either be running in circles around people or talking to the coach. There's, like more footage of you just sitting on the sideline talking to Dean Smith. So I think you were destined to be a great coach That's my That's my first memory of you. My second memory of you was when I was a news reporter for W N. C n the NBC station and Dean Smith was getting the Presidential Medal of Freedom. And you took several several minutes. I think, like a half hour to sit down and talk to me about Coach Smith. And that was a deeply impactful moment that day, in general, from everyone, but especially from you, Um, tell me how that man has affected you. Well, I think I think Coach meth is the greatest coach out of all the coaches in any sport to ever live. And he was also great. Great man. I think sometimes we kind of go overboard. And I'm not saying when I say overboard, I think we talked about him, how much good of a man he was, and yes, he was. But he was a great great basketball coach to, but because of this platform as a great basketball coach, he, uh, he affected so many of our lives, you know, he was a second father. There's so many of us, and it would be interesting if he was living during this time we're going through now. I'm not sure if you guys know about coach Myth and his, um, very and And And here's how he impacted civil rights. You know, with I dont I remember I remember the story about Yeah, I remember the story about the pines with Charlie Scott. Uh, my father was a Presbyterian minister. He joined him on stage for Martin Luther King Day. Several days. He was a really ally. Um, what do you think he would be doing if you were a full minded by I think he would be enjoying this conversation is that we're starting to have as a nation, you know, I know he always He never really forced his opinion on us. Even with my faith now, finally had a place with my faith where he always wanted me to be. You know, we always knew that he was extremely spiritually God, but he never forced it on us. But he always just kind of laid it next to us that we knew it was there and we knew what he felt about civil rights and doing what's right and and, you know, sometimes when you do what's right, it's not the most popular thing, but he was a great, great man. And I think about him every day. Absolutely. How impressed have you been by these young players using their platform? Especially no, with social media and stuff? I think, you know I like it. You know, I think that everybody has a right to feel the way that they want to feel these large is not affecting someone else's life. And I think we're hearing a lot of great things about how people feel. You know, with all this going on in our world today. Absolutely eso We've been talking a lot about what a great man Dean Smith is. You are also a great man. As we said in the teaser, You were in all American, you've gotten into coaching. You played in the N B a, um of, of all of I guess of all the questions I would like to know what you were up to. Now you mentioned that you're in a place with your faith that you wanted Coach Smith to be in. How has your life changed over the last few years? Even though it's been great, you know, I do a lot of speaking now. Youth groups, corporations. Uh, I really enjoy speaking in my involvement with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Um, I trained small kids lessons, one on one, and that's been one of the most rewarding things that I've ever done in my life. You know, when you train a little eight or nine year old little boy little girl who's right handed to do a left hand layup and that that look that they give you, Uh, I mean, it's all the money in the world. Can't Can't buy that, you know, it's just, uh it's been really rewarding. I'm really enjoying. Things are going well for me. I'm really Well, if it's less than literally all the money in the world, I may send you up here to check out Pin Charles E. He's a huge He's a huge basket. I mean, just to tell us. I mean, imagine saying Okay, I got someone coming over to check out my kid who fell forward. I mean, forget about it. No, you like. So let's go down memory lane a bit like when you and Coach Smith and that team changed the game to the point that you know, people had to change the way that they played to keep up with you guys. It was this innovation that back then no one had ever seen before. What was it like being a part of that? Well, four Corners was at North Carolina before I went there was at North Carolina after I left there, and it was just something that Coach Smith was using the rules to our advantage. Now don't get me wrong. You know, we'd like to fast break to. We were one of the very first teams that use the fastbreak pro style type offense we played, man demand, pro style type defense. But you know, I do get a lot of credit for four corners. But in order for four corners toe work, you had to have five very good ball handlers on the court, five very good free throw shoes that could hit pressure, free throws and five good defenders to defend when the other team goes down and take a quick shot. So ah, it was just something that we used. Coach Smith was brilliant, you know, and using the rules and something that we practice on a lot and we became kind of good at it. So as a guy who was part of that you look at Ah, 140 to 136 in the NBA playoffs. And what say you do that? I like that e Everybody likes it, you know? You know I love it, you know? And the thing is, guys in the n b a are so good. You know, when you hear some people say they don't like the NBA, I totally understand, especially in this area, because this is such a big college state, you know, do place Carolina on a Wednesday night. Most people are gonna be watching the Duke Carolina game instead of the of the N B A game. But the MBA players are so good, they make things look so easy. It's just it's two different games. It's amazing. I'm just amazed at the talent and ability of NBA players today. The size, uh, strength. You know, you got power forwards and centers bringing it up, taking three point shots, you know, making individual moves. It's just, uh it's gonna be interesting where the game of basketball in the United States is in 2025 years. It's gonna be amazing. What guys can dio. Well, speaking of the n b A. You know, we have one of our fellow Tar Heels going Thio his third finals. Danny Green. What piece of advice you know he's had. He's had an interesting up and down finals. We're gonna give him grace there, but he's had a inching up. Down. What advice would you give him as he goes into his? I can't give him any advice. He's done three things that I've never done. Any advice? The fact that you make that on Danny then, is an excellent guy. Excellent kid. And he's a great player. Uh, I know he was fun to coach, you know? You watch him play and you watch his personality. I'm just happy he's a tall hill, man. I'll tell you one thing. You know, people always talk about you know, he missed this shot. He missed that shot. I bet the other coach won't intentionally leave them open. Yeah, Yeah, that's true. I mean that he is open for days. A lot of times. The other coach, the other coach leaves him open. I'm sure his staff is gonna have a talk with him because Danny constructed He's a great shooter. Absolutely. What was it like watching UNC basketball this past season? You know, there are those guys who like little brothers to me, you know? And I was like a little brother that Charlie Scott George called. You know, those guys are like little brothers to me, and, you know, I hurt for them. E mean, they had a rough year. I mean, I just think it was just a perfect storm, you know? They lost so much, you know, the previous year and and that Look, look, make class. You know, they just lost so much scoring so much rebounding in. And they got out of the blocks and had a little rough. Go at it. And you know, when you lose confidence, especially amateurs when you lose confidence, it's just so hard. And I was amazed at how Coach Williams the entire year they didn't quit on it. You know, we were struggling, but those guys played so hard, you know, every game from the jump ball to the end of the game and and they never quit. And I just think that's probably a It's something that you have to congratulate Coach Williams, you know, to keep those guys up and to keep them playing hard and not giving up. I'm telling. I'm looking forward to this year. I'm glad you brought that up because I'm looking forward to, but I also like we're all looking forward to. We have no idea if it's gonna happen. You probably talked Thio influential people more than we do. There's been talking e I just read in the paper like you guys, you know? I mean, eh. So what I'm hearing is maybe, you know, it makes sense to make some sort of bubble. Certainly makes sense to make it all. You know, a NOL conference schedule College football's working boat. It's outside. Like it z tricky right now, right? Yeah. I mean, I don't know when you say the bubble, what kind of bubble you heard something about? Well, I mean, there's a bubble. There was a discussion about putting not an actual, you know, similar to the NBA. Putting them in a place where they can online, learn, um, school with the rest of the people from the university's not travel and just play basketball there in some capacity. It was something that was floated several months ago. Well, I mean, the coaches, the players, that staff, um, would And it may be just a tournament like it's it's hard to say, but the bottom line is looking at with the way the MBA did it, these kids can still get their education in a place like that the same way that any other students will. Because most of those universities have gone online learning. Yeah, uh, we're starting rumors here. Shut up. Here, here, here, Here first. Don't get E. I'm just trying to get the basketball here. It makes more sense than going to the depot. I can't even get to the bathroom in the concourse without running into about 16 people very crowded in there. We'll fill you seem like a very like Loki coach. You don't feel like you dig into guys that much, but I'm sure you have to feel a little frustration from last season. And how do you encourage? Possibly, but still make sure they know they have to get it right. I mean, you're elite player yourself. There are certain things that you gotta grasp. I think one thing you never can take the fun out of it. Um, you know the big thing, Play hard, play smart, have fun. And how do you play hard? That's what When I'm teaching young kids, I try to try to teach them that you can't turn it off and turn it on. And no matter how simple something seems, you know you have to do it. It's hard and it's correct as you possibly can. And I give them the example, like when we're working on a simple chest pass, you know that he and I are. She and I are passing the ball back and forth. You know, I say it seems kind of easy right now, but let's say there was five seconds left in the game, 70 to 70 to 50 million people on TV looking at you in 20,000 people in the stands. All of a sudden, that chest pass gets just a little bit harder. Then you're doing now. So what you have to do is just go at everything hard, create habits, because that's what Coach said. We were creatures of habit, you know, in the basketball game when you got kind of tired and the game got, you know, kind of clothes. You are going to say what Coach Smith said. Do it this way. You're going to just do what comes naturally because of the game of basketball is so fast. You don't have the hurdles to think about things, and you know, you just got to create habits in the way you create habits is doing it. It's hard and it z correctly as you can over and over and over again. And nothing is is too simple to get better at. Absolutely. So you have the respect of N B. A coach's college coaches, eh? NBA players, college players, recruits everybody in the state of North Carolina. You have all of their respect. Um, what drew you, though ultimately, to turning your attention to the youth of this area? But I've always I've always had a education, my mom and dad with public school teachers. So high school, elementary school, junior high education has always been extremely important to May. I think that through all of this that said and done, the people that are really gonna change our country or the elementary school junior high kids that are coming up, you know, I think you know, it's very important. You know, Thio, start teaching history two young kids and and and let young kids make up their own mind of what they think is right and what they think is correct. You know, old geezers like myself way go here. So you know. So I just think that's the future of our country. You know, I enjoy speaking the Fellowship of Christian athletes, but I really enjoy speaking to the youth of our country as well, you know, talking to them about how important education is. You know, education is kind of lost. Some of these glimmer and glamour to me. I think, you know, one time everybody wanted to go get an education, go to school, go to college. But it's not that important to kids now, for some reason and and don't get me wrong, I don't think Ah, four year school is for everybody. You know, there's nothing wrong with going toe trade school, learning a trade or going to a business school learning the business. But, you know, learning something that you could take care of yourself and your family. You know, Buddy, and I were talking the other day and we were talking about I've never heard of underwater. Uh, the guy puts the well, the underwater Well, yeah, guys make two or $300,000 a year. I mean, wow. Yeah. Listen, you have so much value right now, Phil, because right now, Children are questioning the value of education because they're being like the way that they're being educated is being changed. So having someone with, you know, with fame and success like you telling them about the value of an education, E hope you realize how important that's gonna be. Not not, you know, for the next several years. But like right now, as kids were struggling with schools, Well, like I said I was Somehow we got to make that important again and got to make that a goal again. And it has to be fun, you know? I mean, nobody wants to start anything that's not fun. They don't get me wrong, you know, Kansas continue. You know, being an athlete, it ain't always fun that you have to love it. If you don't love it, it's gonna be tough. Especially the higher that you go But if we can start reaching our our younger people in this country and letting them giving them the facts and let them see all the facts that's involved and let them start making up their own minds and and people wanted to take care of themselves. And, you know, it's, uh, having having humility, you know, because of God's grace for us. You know, we have to be humble because we didn't do this on our own and having compassion for our fellow man. Because God loves us. So we have to love other people. So if we can get those two things, uh, back in our society right now, I think we'll be okay. Especially with the youth of today. Absolutely. Fill. My last question for you would be, You know, if there's a history, classes go to school, right? And their people are asking about the great Phil forward. What do you want them to remember about you most? He was just a nice guy. You know what I mean? I tried to treat everybody fair, you know, and I want to be treated fair. You know, just, uh God, I love sports. You know I love all sports. I love basketball, Baseball football is my favorite sport to watch, but I guess, but football in baseball can you know, I could watch best basketball all day If I don't know someone that's playing or coach or something but a football game, I could turn the channel 12 o'clock in the afternoon and watch football to 12 o'clock at night because it's played, somebody's gonna get lit up. So s well, thank God did this on a Tuesday. It's the only night there's no football. E o. All right, listen, coach for it. It has truly been an honor. I speak as a member of the media that you showed nothing but Grace. Tow us. Um and I am thrilled that you've turned your attention to the kids in our area, and I I can't wait to see some, you know, the next Yanis intimate Campo in the NBA Finals. Oh, yeah. Coach Forward taught me how to throw a bounce pass about 20 years ago. Canada's hit me up. Nobody gets. They know the canvas. That's my girl. I'm gathering that you would be surprised how many people do. So when I get greatness, I feel like when people have. When I have someone like I feel forward to come for me, they're like, Oh, she's legit. So, you know, feel appreciated. You all right? Thank you so much for joining us. Fill forward. You're gonna be tough to top. Absolutely. All right. So you guys, Thanks for tuning in to guest the guest live presented by your influence. We'll be live every Tuesday at 7. 30 PM on Facebook. So be sure to like the page there. Or visit Guest. The guest dot Live way. Can't wait to see you next week we'll have another mystery guest. Another star of a C C. Basketball. Will it be a Tar Heel?
